This year we are offering two levels of Art Camp, Science Camp, Test taking and Note Taking Skills class, Suzuki Strings Camp, and Music Technology Camp. ART CAMPS

Dates: Elementary Camp: July 10-14, 9:30 am – 12 noon, 1st-6th grade (minimum of 7 years of age at start of camp)
Teen Camp: July 17-21, 9:30 am – 12 noon, 7th grade and up (minimum of 13 years of age by start of camp)

Cost: $107 plus fees (and $20 supply fee to be paid directly to Mrs. Councill)

Welcome to L’Artatouille, a studio experience where campers will grow in their technique and craftsmanship while using a variety of mediums to create a portfolio showcasing their skills. Let your “Little Artist” guide you as you “Draw, Paint, and Make” at Summer Art Camp! With introductions to new techniques that engage and delight, campers will create projects using temperas, acrylics, watercolors, paint pens, paper collage, chalk and oil pastels, and more!

SCIENCE CAMP

Dates: July 24-28, 9 am – 11 am, Grades 6-12 (in the fall)
Age level: Grades 6-12 (in the fall)
Cost: $80 plus fees (and $20 supply fee to be paid directly to Mrs. Rollick); students who are not currently enrolled at YMV have an additional non-refundable $15.00 processing fee.

This camp is designed for upper middle school through high school students to explore and learn through science experiments. What happens when you mix potassium iodide and hydrogen peroxide together? What is the Doppler effect? Can you make something cold with only water and sand? Come find the answers and have fun at this year’s Science Camp at YMV! We will be doing experiments daily and learning about the concepts that power them, as well as stretching our brains to come up with hypotheses to explain things that we encounter every day.

CLASS – Test Prep and Note Taking

Dates: June 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18; 9 am – 11 am
Age level: students in grades 6-12 (in the fall)
Cost: $105 plus fees; students who are not currently enrolled at YMV have an additional non-refundable $15.00 processing fee.

Learn test-taking strategies and note-taking skills for middle school, high school, and beyond! Five sessions of instruction. Bring a notebook and pencil!

Music Technology Camp

Dates: July 17-21, 9 am – 12 pm
Age level: students in grades 6-12 (in the fall)
Cost: $112 plus fees; students who are not currently enrolled at YMV have an additional non-refundable $15.00 processing fee.

Participants will learn fundamentals of digital music production and will collectively produce a song from start to finish. All levels are welcome to attend; no musical knowledge is required. Each producer will acquire lots of knowledge to be used in their own music projects. Bring a notebook and pencil!
