Summer Camps & Classes

We welcome homeschool and non-homeschool families to attend our camps.  To register and pay, click on the link below the description of each camp or class in which you wish to participate.  Invite your friends!

*Families currently not registered at YMV must add on a one-time $15.00 registration fee per student.


Band Camp (6th-12th)

July 15-19, 9:00am-12:00 noon

Instructors: Dr. Christopher S. Card, Gary “JuJu” Garlic, Tommy Loyola

Spend one week with great educators learning some of the newest music and methods in a concert band setting! Students will study concert band music and enjoy the great opportunities of playing, perfecting, and performing on their brass, wind, or percussion instruments. Activities will include full band and small sectional instruction with challenging and interesting new music. The week will end with a performance of the music that has been polished during the week.

Artistic Beasts & Where We Find Them (6 yrs-6th)

July 15-19, 9:00am-12:00 noon

Instructor: Stephanie Councill

Come along and explore as we search for Artistic Beasts in habitats around the world! Projects will be inspired by animals found living in the Arctic, Desert, Rainforest, Ocean and Woodland Forest. A variety of art materials will be used. Student work will be displayed on Friday during Band Camp Performance.

Summer Biology Class (9th-12th)

June 11–August 20, 10:30am-2:00pm, Tuesdays

Instructor: Yetta Roy

Curriculum: Exploring Creation with Biology textbook and Student Notebook

A high school biology course, this college-prep biology course provides a detailed introduction to the methods and concepts of general biology. Heavily emphasizing the vocabulary of biology, it provides the student a strong background in the scientific method, the five-kingdom classification scheme, microscopy, biochemistry, cellular biology, molecular and Mendelian genetics, evolution, and ecosystems. Labs will include microscope work, experiments, and dissection. This summer course is worth a full credit of high school biology and is for home school students only.
