Young Musicians of Virginia typically begins classes after Labor Day, has four eight-week quarters, and finishes the enrichment year by the end of May.  Our Yearly Calendar 2024-25 highlights key dates for quarter-term ending dates, holidays and more.

YMV classes meet on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Most large ensemble classes (band, strings, choir) meet on both days, as well as high school academic classes and drama.  Art classes and private lessons meet once a week.  Other classes vary, so check the Daily Schedule link below for details. YMV Daily Schedule 2024-25 contains daily class offerings by hour on Tuesdays and/or Fridays for the offered courses.  Private lessons are scheduled individually based on each teacher’s availability. This document also lists class fees, or you can click individual classes on our class pages to see fees.

YMV requires two fees to register: $90 per child registration fee (earlybird discount $75 per child if paid by May 15) and a Family Participation Fee $225 per family (1/3 required at registration).
