Young Musicians of Virginia typically begins classes after Labor Day, has four eight-week quarters, and finishes the enrichment year by the end of May.  Our Yearly Calendar 2025-26 highlights key dates for quarter-term ending dates, holidays and more.

YMV classes meet on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Most large ensemble classes (band, strings, choir) meet on both days, as well as high school academic classes and drama.  Art classes and private lessons meet once a week.  Other classes vary, so check the Daily Schedule link below for details. YMV requires two fees to register: a per child registration fee (earlybird discount if paid by May 15) and a Family Participation Fee per family (1/3 required at registration).
